The Italian Villa isn’t just a summer venue, it provides the perfect canvas across all seasons. The winter weather may be cold, however the stunning rooms, paired with twinkling candlelight, and stunning greenery makes an enchanting canvas for a romantic winter wedding.
In the festive month of December, The Italian Villa had the privilege of hosting the wedding of Danielle and Shaun. Adding a distinctive touch to this celebration Danielle, the stunning bride, brought her own touch of floral artistry as the proud owner of Hillview Flowers and Events- a cherished name among the highly recommended suppliers here at the Villa.
Choosing a style or theme for a wedding can be a challenging task for many couples, least to say those who work in the industry! Throughout the planning, Danielle recalls wanting to take ideas from every couple she worked with before deciding on a theme for their wedding day. The search concluded choosing a classic colour theme combo paired with a tropical twist for their wedding.
Being a florist herself, Danielle knew the ceremony set up and bridal bouquet was an important element of her day, and her final decision did not disappoint! The sleek but modern feel incorporated a touch of winter and her favourite flowers, Danielle’s bouquet consisted of King Protea’s, Anthuriums, Phalanopsis Orchids, Dendrobium Orchids, Tulips, Agapanthus, Roses, Euphorbia, Anemones, and Hypericum Berries.
In the lead up to the event, Danielle and Shaun worked with the team to ensure every detail of the day was covered, this including the table plan which Danielle believes anyone organising a table plan deserves a medal. Knowing the venue well, Danielle knew she would have a knowledgeable and helpful team working alongside her to ensure everything was perfect!
On the day of the wedding, guests were able to take advantage of the Italian Gardens which provided a stunning backdrop for the exchange of vows and three course wedding breakfast.
The wedding breakfast began with guests welcoming the newlyweds into the room before beginning the wedding breakfast. The meal consisted of Red Wine Braised Beef, New Forest Mushroom Wellington followed by an all-time favourite winter dessert of Sticky Toffee Pudding, all produced from our talented in-house chef, Thomas Hayes.
After the wedding breakfast concluded, guests were given the opportunity to join the newlyweds on the steps leading into the Italian Gardens for a spectacular sparklers display, this adding a magical canvas to kickstart the evening celebration.
Danielle and Shaun’s special day was formed with the talents of an array of suppliers each adding their own unique touch to the celebration.
Hillview Flowers and Events providing the freshly arranged floral display infusing the atmosphere with natural beauty.
Spark Event Hire transformed the venue, adding an extra layer of elegance and charm to the special occasion.
Every moment was captured by the collaborative efforts of Ana Parker Photography and Firedove Films.
Lee Rasdall- Dove treated guests to a set of his stunning vocals during the drinks reception after the wedding vows were exchanged.
Guests indulged in treats from Geastan Bakehouse, where Megan crafted a display of cheesecakes and profiteroles forming the wedding cake.
As the day turned to night,11:11 Events provided their dance floor hire, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of celebrations. Ultimate Disco ignited the dance floor, infusing the air with their rhythms. Whilst Vicky Sax added her enchanting touch with uplifting house beats.
Speaking highly of the venue after their wedding day, Danielle described the day as perfect with every expectation surpassed, reflecting “Bianca and the entire team at The Italian Villa made everything run seamlessly, they were attentive and helpful. We cannot thank everyone who made sure we had the very best day”.
